1.3.2: Control-C kills *backgrounded* emacs

CYGWIN_NT-4.0 ALPHA 1.3.2(0.39/3/2) 2001-05-20 23:28 i686 unknown

I built emacs 21.0.102 from the sources on
ftp://alpha.gnu.org:/gnu/emacs/unreadable/pretest .  Unfortunately I don't
remember exactly how I built it; it wasn't straightforward. I do remember
that I used Microsoft Visual C++ as the compiler, and GNU make, and built
from the command line (as opposed to using Microsoft Visual C++'s GUI-mode
IDE).

Anyway, I start Emacs from the bash prompt just as I would on a Unix box:

	bash$ emacs &

(`emacs' is a shell function whose definition is
	emacs ()
	{
	    /usr/local/src/emacs-21.0.102/bin/emacs.exe "$@"
	}
)

The problem is that *sometimes* (alas, not always; I do not know precisely
what triggers it) when I press Control-C in the bash window, it kills Emacs.
Bash prints a message when this happens; unfortunately I cannot remember the
text, but it's something simple and (to me anyway) uninformative like
"Emacs: interrupted". I'll be happy to send the message to anyone who wants
it, as soon as the problem repros.
