How to use (ot simulate) the asm/io.h functions

Hi,
My application uses some hardware functions included in the asm/io.h
header, that seem to bo not supported by Cygwin, so my question is if is
there any way to use them or to have the same functionality.
The functions I am interested in are inb and outb.
