Why do I get this error/warning when I start up a CGYWIN Window/shell

Most likely, it means your user id has a space in it.  You can fix
part of this problem by deleting /etc/profile and running the latest
setup.exe, which will install a fixed /etc/profile.  You will probably
run into other problems with spaces, though, in other programs.
