Hi Susan,

Its best to make these queries of the list in general, since others may be 
better able to help you resolve these problems than I.  Assuming that
you have no objections, I'm forwarding your follow-up to the list.  On first 
glance, its not obvious to me why you're experiencing the problems you are.
I don't see anything similar here running on W2K but I'm running vim version 
5.5 where I know the current download version is 5.7.  Anybody else seen this
problem?
