Title: How to install on common drive?
Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask this question.
I'm thinking of installing cygwin on a common drive so that my department has single-point, common access.ÃÂ (Just to be a little over-explanatory here, my definition of a common drive is a vob in ClearCase.ÃÂ On NT, when a vob is mounted, it looks and acts like a separate hard drive.)
What caveats am I going to experience?
ÃÂ - is there any registry entries other then mount points?
ÃÂ - other than modification of path, is there any other
ÃÂ ÃÂ ÃÂ environment considerations?
ÃÂ - I'm assuming because of GPL licensing, I won't get
ÃÂ ÃÂ ÃÂ into legal problems by adding cygwin to a repository.
ÃÂ ÃÂ ÃÂ (I do know of some products that do not allow you to
ÃÂ ÃÂ ÃÂ add them to a multi-site repository, so I'm just
ÃÂ ÃÂ ÃÂ checking.)
ÃÂ - any other considerations that I can't think of right now?
Thanks all for your help.
