cygwin DLLs and VC

[ previous post regarding Cygwin DLL with VC++ app ]

Ooops, misspelled DLL entry point name. It should be 
  
  __cygwin_noncygwin_dll_entry@12 

NOT
  __cygwin_noncygwin_entry@12 

Of course, a quick search on "noncygwin" in this list or the pointer
I had provided dealing with Java JNI's etc will have picked out the
right name.
