bzip2: How install and use to unpack Cygnus Perl?

You need two programs to uncompress the archive.
Something like this should work:
bzip2 -d < perl5.005_03-cygwinb20-dynamic-v1.4.tar.bz2 | tar xvf -
This will extract the contents of the perl5... bzip2 compressed
tar file to the current directory.
