Problem with gcc

Good day

I've got following problem: I would like to compile some c programs with
gcc
(gcc -o xx.exe xx.c) and I always get the following error:

dereferencing pointer to incomplete type
sizeof applied to an incomplete type

What can I do to solve that problem.
