Compiling gcc for i386-aout

Hi,

	I'm a freshman, 1-st time on this list and I need help. I'm trying to build 
compiler running under Win32 targeted to i385-aout. I can't get through shell 
scripts- bash or sh (cygwin ones) says, that there is 'no ../src/configure' 
file. O,k, I run configure manually, with apropriate parameters. After that I 
run make (also cygwin one)- and again the same problem- 'there is no ... file'. 
But, as makefiles are much longer and complex, I don't want to do it manually. 
Can you help? Any clues?
