You can find it at
    ftp://ftp.uu.net/pub/archiving/zip/zlib/zlib-1.0.4.tar.gz
but the latest appears to be available at
    ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/infozip/zlib/zlib-1.1.3.tar.gz
