Getting short name from long name?

GetShortPathName from Win API. Look up API docs -- MS has them on-line,
but there's also a free available on the net (See Jan-Jaap's web site
reachable from
http://www.xraylith.wisc.edu/~khan/software/gnu-win32/sites.html -- go
