Installing cdk on Intel NT4.0 with OpenStep from NeXT/Apple

At work, we are using 686s running NT4.0 and OpenStep.
The OpenStep system uses the Cygnus gcc port and many
of the cygnus files; however, they aren't up-to-date.

How can I install the CDK on my workstation without
disrupting the OpenStep directory structure?
