From Brian.Ford@flightsafety.com Thu Sep 22 15:17:00 2005 From: Brian.Ford@flightsafety.com (Brian Ford) Date: Thu, 22 Sep 2005 15:17:00 -0000 Subject: Updated: lesstif-0.94.4-1 [test release] Message-ID: The lesstif-0.94.4-1 'test' package has been updated in the Cygwin distribution. This is currently a test release for two reasons: 1.) There has been a maintainer change. 2.) Various Cygwin maintainers whose packages rely on LessTif may have compatibility concerns. Those packages are: ddd nedit tcm xemacs xpdf If you are a maintainer or user of one of the above packages, please test this release. Also, if you are a developer who uses Cygwin LessTif, your input is also desired. Note that you can test the new cygXm-2.dll without needing to recompile the dependent application. Although, a recompile is a more thorough test, assuming you are sure the recompile would have succeeded before this update. Please send all feedback to the Cygwin/X list. If no issues remain after a few weeks of testing, this release will be promoted to current. Changes: * Sync with upstream release (see http://www.lesstif.org/ReleaseNotes.html for details) * Disable build of static libraries. * Maintainer change. * Sync with latest generic build script. * acinclude.m4 (AC_FIND_XFT): Make compatible with libfreetype26-devel-2.1.9-1. * Update lesstif.README. -- Brian Ford Cygwin LessTif volunteer maintainer To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on http://cygwin.com. This downloads setup.exe to your system. Save and run it, answer the questions and pick 'lesstif' from the 'X11' category. Because this is an experimental 'test' release, you must click on the 'Exp' radio button in order for the 0.94-4-1 version to show up, or click on the spinner (version number) until this version is displayed. If your mirror doesn't yet have the latest version of this package after 24 hours, you can either continue to wait for that site to be updated or you can try to find another mirror. Please send all questions or comments to the Cygwin/X mailing list at: cygwin-xfree at cygwin dot com. I would appreciate if you would use this mailing list rather than emailing me directly. If you want to make a point or ask a question the Cygwin/X mailing list is the appropriate place. *** CYGWIN-XFREE-ANNOUNCE UNSUBSCRIBE INFO *** If you want to unsubscribe from the cygwin-xfree-announce mailing list, look at the "List-Unsubscribe: " tag in the email header of this message.
