1) Those directories are first in my path; 'write'
just isn't a valid bash command I suppose.

2) I'm not self-respecting

3) talk seems to be similar to write; its a unix
command, but it doesn't work on my installation; maybe
I need another package: I get the following:
-bash: talk: command not found

4)Sorry about the signature line.  I use this account
for my mailing lists.  At least its smaller in size
