I had a solution which called the copy-user-registry-fstab script
automatically for all users (by putting the script into /etc/profile.d)
but that solution has the downside of either always creating a
/etc/fstab.d/$USER file, even if no user mount points exist, or by
always looking into the registry to find out if /etc/fstab.d/$USER needs
to be created. That's why the script is now in /bin rather than in
/etc/profile.d. So, yes, the problem has been noted.
