I now tested this on a 64 bit 2K3 and it works fine.  The problem is
just that the DLL has to be build for 64 bit mode.  Since gcc doesn't
support PE/COFF for x86_64 yet, I had to build the DLL using VC++.
Sigh.  But it works.  That's good news, methinks.
