Uhm... I don't quite like the idea. We didn't exactly discourage the
usage of old-style symlinks and they still have their style. I mean,
they are still not a bad or especially ugly implementation, are they?

That solves the problem only for a small bunch of special directories
but it doesn't solve the problem for /cygdrive-relative symlinks in
general. Therefore my above question. I was thinking about a general
solution for all these symlinks.
