I can duplicate this.  It don't think that it is my change.  I just
built a 1.3.3 version with only my changes and it doesn't hang.  The
1.3.4 in cvs does hang, though.

I hate to say this but it seems to be wincap related.  This makes soem
sense since it seems to be win9x related.
