This should be fixed now.  My code which ensured that older versions
didn't get placed after newer versions was still broken.

Well, they're not entirely gone.  They still show up if you do a "back"
after having installed a bunch of packages.  I'm wondering if this is
a bug or a feature, though.

I'm also wondering if I got the paradigm wrong since there are so
many problems with this.
