INMO: Hmmm ...., isn't there already some useful *FREE*, GUI based installers which would be satisfactory ? Inno Setup can be found at http://www.jordanr.dhs.org/ which is a free, flexible installation system, with source code. It may satisfy your needs and save you the time of writing/porting another GUI based installer. Espen
