So we will go without the version number. How would you prefer for me
to change the package for 1.7.

I can do a cygwin specific src patch if wanted. It seems as the better
and cleaner solution. I will then provide a patch to upstream  so that
task 1.8  will be "correct" in terms of Makfile. I will do it
throughout the week (some travelling coming up) Can you do another
review next weekend? ;-) hinthint ;-)

I assume I can post the RFU for cygwin 1.5 though.
