Changing the program from being dual-threaded and using an external
program to being a single-threaded program that uses a library seems
quite a "hell of a patch" to me... moreover I wonder how well the
sentence " The code is licensed under the BSD license." (found on
pokorra.de) goes with the fact that the BSD license is not compatible
with the BSDPL license...
Anyway, if and when the license problem is solved I will take a closer
look at that patch and see if something similiar can be done.
I wonder why people that does interesting program usually put them
under "strange" restrictive licenses... (e.g. qmail, bsdiff, and many
others...)
