This package has been updated, there were still a couple of locations that
used /usr/doc and/or /usr/man instead of /usr/share/doc and
/usr/share/man...

Same download locations.

-----Original Message-----
I'm interested in becoming package maintainer for libsmi
(http://www.ibr.cs.tu-bs.de/projects/libsmi/index.html).

This package builds out of the box. The only changes I've done is to create
three separate packages:
libsmi: the documentation on the package (README, COPYING, etc.)
libsmi-devel: the static library, include file, and .3 man pages
libsmi-tools: executable files and .1 man pages

I've used the tool "smilint" that comes with this package for doing lint
checks on SNMP MIB documents that we create where I work. The package
builds without problems and "make check" returns successfully for all tests.
