I'm desperately seeking a solution to build cross-compile toolchain that can best match the following:
mipsel, linux 2.6.36, uClibc 0.9.28, gcc 3.4.2, binutils 2.15
Yes, pretty old setup.

I'm giving crosstoools-ng 1.1.3a a try, as it seems to support relatively close setup (linux 2.6.11, gcc 3.4.6, uClibc 0.9.28.3, binutils 2.15).
Build fails in step "installing C library headers" in libc-uClibc.sh in function do_libc_headers
Build.log talks about missing Makefile or version.h in kernel sources: this happens during fix_includes.sh execution.

I noticed that some more recent uClibc script patches are available from:
http://crosstool-ng.org/hg/crosstool-ng/file/d3e603e7c17c/patches/uClibc/0.9.28/
so I gave them a try but with no more success...

Any recommendation to fix this issue and successfully build such toolchain?
