It is not easy to handle git patches, while it is trivial for me to apply
Mercurial patches: Mercurial is the official DVCS used by crosstool-NG.

So, when applying this patchset with Mercurial, I get no commit message,
not even a summary line, but I can live with that (it's quite easy to
cut-n-paste the email subject, but it's stillmore cumbersome for me than
simplyr unning "hg mimport" in a terminal).

Also, both of your patches are mising your SoB line. Can you reply to each
patch with a single line saying:
  Signed-off-by: Your NAME <your@email>
