Most of the tool is written in Java and it uses a small library
called metux-java (git://pubgit.metux.de/projects/metux-java.git).
But it can be compiled into binary executables, so no JRE is required.

First time setup can be a bit tricky (I didnt have the time to
write proper documentation yet).

I can provide a complete installation (i686 or amd64) or an
ready-to-run container/ovz image if that helps :)
