[PATCH 0 of 8] 2nd patch series for MacOS/FreeBSD as host system

this is the 2nd patch series for MacOS/BSD as a host system.

With the complete patchset, I'm able to build gcc-4.5 for
powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu on MacOS and FreeBSD, with
companion libs linked statically or dynamically.

Also included (not related to BSD but gcc-4.5+powerpc) is
the new target config option to enable -Os on compiling gcc's libs.
