There are several buildsystem that have fixed the problem. Use
openembedded, ptxdist, buildroot....

P.S.: If you really want to do this on your own, this might help:
find -name "ltmain.sh" -a -type f | while read file; do
sed -i -e "s:\(need_relink\)=yes:\1=\"no\":" "${file}" || return
done
