Embedded Linux Hacker, Summer Internship

If you are an embedded Linux hacker and would like to spend this
summer in the heart of Silicon Valley working in a fun and exciting
research environment on unique prototypes, then this may be a job for
you.

Projects:

Work in a team of software and hardware engineers, migrating an
embedded Linux-based system from  XScale to TI OMAP platform.
Responsibilities include:
- porting existing kernel drivers and user space apps, and developing new ones;
- customizing boot loader (U-Boot).


Skills:

Basic Linux administration.

Linux/UNIX application development (CLI only, no X-Windows): C, shell
scripting (Bash), Python, C# (Mono).

Embedded Linux experience, including use of cross-compilers and
toolchains, debugging,  system bring-up, networking  set up.

Linux kernel development experience: porting and debugging drivers,
good understanding of kernel and driver code, and basic driver
development.

Working experience with Debian (ARM or ARMEL) and / or OpenEmbedded
Linux distributions is a plus.

TI  OMAP 35xx and XScale hardware platforms experience is a plus.
