disable thread-safe mpfr?

Hi,
 
I'm new to linux world, so i apologize for my poor linux skills.
I'm developping embedded software under Windows with eclipse for a linux
target (i686 actually and ARM soon)
 
I was previously using a cross compiler that i builded with crosstool 0.43
and it worked fine but i needed a more recent GLibc. 
 
So i tryed to use ct-ng on cygwin for a linux i686 target. I'm using the
latest trunk version.
I'm facing the configure error with mpfr: configure: error: please configure
with --disable-thread-safe. 
This kind of problem seems to have already been corrected (may 2008) and I
wondered why I had the error.
