This is a very good suggestion! As it always is, comming from you! :-)
I can see at least two reasons to hack crostool-NG to support OSF:
1) to cross-compile on a GNU/Linux machine faster than the OSF machine;
2) for the fun of it! Hehe! ;-)
Obviously, 2) does not stand long... :-/
