Hi there,

I am new to all this and don't have much experience.
I thought I'll just give it a try and ask you for help:

For compiling apps for a (reciva based) webradio, I'm trying to set up a
crosscompiler. All needed apps are installed, I also patched a file to
also work with the newest gcc version >4.0. I'm running ubuntu 8.10rc.

In detail, I want a cross compiler for arm9tdmi,
using  gcc-4.1.0-glibc-2.3.2.dat

I have created a folder /opt/crosstool with the right permissions and
then ran sh demo-arm9tdmi.sh in the folder where I extracted crosstool
0.43.

The process runs rather a long time (about 10 minutes) when I get the
following errors:

In Funktion »open«,
    eingefügt von »collect_execute«
bei /home/christian/recivadaten/crosstool-0.43/build/arm-9tdmi-linux-gnu/gcc-4.1.0-glibc-2.3.2/gcc-3.3.6/gcc/collect2.c:1575:
/usr/include/bits/fcntl2.h:51: Fehler: Aufruf von »__open_missing_mode«
mit Attributfehler deklariert: open with O_CREAT in second argument

make[1]: *** [collect2.o] Fehler 1
make[1]: Verlasse Verzeichnis
'/home/christian/recivadaten/crosstool-0.43/build/arm-9tdmi-linux-gnu/gcc-4.1.0-glibc-2.3.2/build-gcc-core/gcc'
make: *** [all-gcc] Fehler 2

(sorry for having a german terminal)

Can someone help me or do you need more information?
Thanks in advance for any answer!
best regards,
Christian
