Is that the full message? Is running the above sufficient? Don't we
have to regenerate anything else?

On my Debian testing, all is OK.

I don't like tramping in the realm of autotools+libtool. It's a dark area
where the slightest mistakes breaks the whole thing down to pieces... :-(
But if you come up with a patch, I will consider applying it.
