How to debug object of elf format with crossgdb

Hi guys,

I transplant u-boot for my new board.
After i build it, i get a u-boot which is elf format.
I want to debug it but i don't know how.

I don't know how to build the debugging environment.

My board is totally new and has no other code in it.
Whether it is through serial port or network port, i want to know how
to debug it.

By the way, i use the arm-elf- toolchain.

Please give me some pieces of advice.
