That looks like

So I guess you were building with --disabled-shared ?
I don't know if --disabled-shared is needed ... you can just
delete the .so's after the build is done, can't you?

If you're also trying to build with --enable-static-nss, you may need
http://kegel.com/crosstool/current/patches/glibc-2.3.5/glibc-2.3.5-fix-pr631.patch
