(Do you mean crosstool-0.38?  I don't remember releasing 0.39...)

So did Peter Schaefer.  His patch is at
http://www.kegel.com/crosstool/crosstool-0.40/contrib/2005b/crosstool-0.38-nptl-schaefer.patch
I don't know if yours made it in to my contrib directory.
Is it much different from his?
