building toolchain for XSCALE, with softfloat and interwork

Hi, 

Does anyone know how to pass several arguments within  "--enable-cxx-flags="
I try to escape ' and ", but it fails..
maybe just to repeat --enable-cxx-flags= several time is fine?

example:

GCC_EXTRA_CONFIG=" --enable-interwork
--enable-cxx-flags=\"-mcpu=xscale -march=xscale\"       "
