I have built a cross compiler today for 4.0.1 for PPC 405 with Ada support.
The gnat compiler produces static executables that I have run on a PPC board.

gcc 4.0.0 on support Ada without having to add special build instructions. Gcc 
4.0.0 on has improved tasking support for several embedded processors 
including PPC. See the release notes for 4.0.1.
