http://www.tglx.de/private/bene/arm-toolchain/mk-arm
looks very nice.

http://kegel.com/crosstool/current/contrib/crosstool-0.34-nptl.patch
shows how it was done most recently.
What's keeping it from getting merged is simply that
my paying customer has been demanding other things,
so I haven't had time to merge it.
At some point my paying customer will start demanding
NPTL support. Until that time, others who want it
can help by keeping contrib/crosstool-0.34-nptl.patch up to date.

Good question! I'm still somewhat in denial.
