Hmmm. A bit of a false alarm again there, I guess.

Seems like the native assembler gets picked up again, instead of the 
"cross development" one on the source tree because the internal search 
paths appear to have changed. Actually, I tried to adjust for that, but 
apparently not the right way.

This time it looks like xgcc gets the correct version, though, and 
configure the wrong one (so the system makes wrong assumptions about the 
capabilities.) It was the other way around earlier.
