This is a known bug in gcc; see
http://gcc.gnu.org/PR17209

For some reason, that bug is marked as 'waiting for user input',
but it shouldn't be; I provided all the info needed to reproduce
it.  Since more people are starting to run into it, I'm
cc'ing gcc@gcc.gnu.org to see if I can stir up some
interest in addressing it.
