how get just c, not other compilers?

when building gcc, I dont want all the other compilers,

eg I dont want objective c, I dont want fortran, 

I just want a c compiler,

how do I prevent everything else being built?

I tried --without-objc, --without-libobjc, --without-f

objective c and fortran keep being built,

I then run into problems eg with the objective c part of the build,
but I dont even want it!
