You shouldn't need to do that.

How about this: find someone who has written a small C++ program
for your target (sh4-elf), see how they built gcc-3.3.2, and
see how they built the program.  This has *got* to be a common
situation.  You might try asking also on other mailing lists
like gcc-help, linux-sh ( http://www.m17n.org/linux-sh/ml/linux-sh/ ),
or etux@embeddedtux.org.
