Seeing this kind of stuff in the kernel makes me somewhat nervous
(from arch/arm/nwfpe/fpa11_cpdt.c):
static inline void loadDouble(const unsigned int Fn, const unsigned int *pMem)
{
FPA11 *fpa11 = GET_FPA11();
unsigned int *p;
p = (unsigned int *) &fpa11->fpreg[Fn].fDouble;
fpa11->fType[Fn] = typeDouble;
get_user(p[0], &pMem[1]);
get_user(p[1], &pMem[0]); /* sign & exponent */
}
Also:
% pwd
/home/buytenh/proj/ixp2xxx/kernel/2.6/linux-2.6.8-rc1-ds1
% grep -i endian arch/arm/nwfpe/*
% grep -i ARMEB arch/arm/nwfpe/*
% grep -i htonl arch/arm/nwfpe/*
% grep -i bswap arch/arm/nwfpe/*
% grep -i le32_to_cpu arch/arm/nwfpe/*
%
cheers,
Lennert
