Well, as one who has just started using the crosstool scripts to build a
single architecture toolchain, I have an observation about this comment.
When I first fired up the script I enabled an 'arm' toolchain to build and
didn't realize that there were others enabled below in the file, as I
didn't read it. So, this first attempt failed because I didn't have the
right native compiler for one of the architectures that Dan has enabled by
default. Seeing that it was building a powerpc toolchain or something that
I had no use for, I read demo.sh and saw there were others enabled. I
think this was a bit of knowledge I needed to gain. If I had read demo.sh
carefully I would have realized this. Being able to build multiple
toolchains with the script is undoubtably useful to some and demonstrating
this is a good thing in my opinion. It is the more general case. I would
leave the default 'demo.sh' alone. I think that there is some
configuration that is required and there is just a certain amount of
knowledge necessary to build toolchains, even with this great set of
scripts.
