building gcc3.0 bootstrap cross-compiler missing header files!

Just noticed your note from two months ago.
Did you succeed in the end?

Dimi and I are doing something very similar; see

My gcc3.0.4 is now cross-compiling a full linux 2.4.17 system
which boots on ppc405, but it's not quite happy yet, as busybox
dumps core when I do tough things like 'ls -l'.
(I'm now figuring out how to cross-run the gcc regression tests
and ltp.)
