Compiling GCC for ARC A4

Hi All,

I am trying to cross compile GCC 3.0.1 for arc-elf32 as target and 
it fails with the following message:

"make.exe no rule to make 'target' crtinit.o, needed by 
stmp-multilib"

I have configured GCC on linux machine with, --target=arc-elf32 
--prefix=/usr/local/arc 

Any pointers??
