If your build platform is cygwin running on Windows 98 then you cannot run
Cygwin/XFree86 on 1.1.x. I haven't checked this, but it is mentioned on the
Cygwin/XFree86 website. This means that you can't use the Data Display
Debugger (DDD) as it requires XFree86. I say this, but another Windows
compatible X Client may work.
