Updated build-crossgcc.sh, and a very preliminary FAQ

Good point.  However, I suggest that you point to both for now.
While the old FAQ is dated, it helped me build both an
arm-unknown-coff and powerpc-unknown-elf32 compiler hosted on Linux.
