Hi David,

Sorry for disturbing you again and again. Since, am new to gcc build, things
are not clear to me.
Again it is issuing the below error. Like it is not able to find the
mips-tfile...,

-DL${name} libgcc1.S; \
  if [ $? -eq 0 ] ; then true; else exit 1; fi; \
  mv libgcc1.o ${name}.o; \
  mips-elf-ar rc tmplibgcc1.a ${name}.o; \
  rm -f ${name}.o; \
done
_m16addsf3
xgcc: installation problem, cannot exec `mips-tfile': No such file or
directory
make[1]: *** [libgcc1-asm.a] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/build/gcc/gcc'
make: *** [all-gcc] Error 2

Tons of greats for your help.

Cheers,
Mani

Yes, kind of! But you need not do it manually; the install is done by
the makefile. When you built binutils, you said 'make all'; that only
builds but does not install. Just change into the /tmp/build/binutils
directory again and say 'make install'. Until the binutils are installed,
gcc cannot find them when it is building it's own libraries (which are
for the target, and so need to use the cross binutils, and so those
cross binutils must be installed and in your path so gcc can find them).
